Adventures in Computational Thinking By Hae Min Kwon Computational Thinking Fluency in Information Technology (CSE3) introduces basic skills and concepts of computers and networks. Practical skills utilizing computer programs include html, JavaScript, MS word, excel, and PowerPoint. Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Using HTML, I was able to make my own webpage and try making variations in text on a webpage. It was cool because I have never done it or learned it before. Desktop Publishing with MS word I learned a lot of features of Microsoft Word that I did not know of. Being able to make a bibliography, for example, was pretty cool. Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Using PowerPoint, I was able to make a presentation of charts of stocks. I have never used PowerPoint for presenting, so it was fun. Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel I learned new features of Microsoft Excel that I never knew. For instance, I learned how to sum up a column. IDLE (Integrated Development and Learning Environment) Programming with Python Using Python, I was able to write up a program that allows me to enter an input. Then an output popped up on the screen. Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript JavaScript was complicated program among all the other things that we learned, but it was the most fascinating program! CSE 3 Fall 2015
