Pigs will come from the breeder on Show Chow 509 What to feed?? Pigs will come from the breeder on Show Chow 509 If you are feeding Purina you will stay on 509 If you are feeding Lindner's you will need to buy one bag of 509 to mix with your Lindner’s 632. You should do this over a week period, by slowly mixing in the lindners into the 509. This way the pig will not get scours. Purina 509 It is highly suggested you give your pig a joint supplement. Such as Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSN. We will have more information about these on the sunday after pig selection. Lindner 632 After the first few weeks we will have a feed specialist come in and help each of you with your feeding schedule.

Pen setup - Beach your pen’s floor and railings using a mixture of 3 water to 1 beach solution. Check out rubber mats from the Ag. Dept. to put underneath your shavings in the floor of your pen. Hog Wire for feed trough. Zip ties, a lot of zip ties. Put up plywood around the sides of your pen, you can work with your neighbors so you don't have to double buy. You can add a tool box to store feed and other supplies in your pen. Put down your shavings.

When there is a problem please, ask your Ag. Teachers first. More Information - What to do …….. If your animal stops eating…….Tell an Ag. Teacher first If your animal has diarrhea ………..Tell an Ag.
