Thor Heyerdahl Upper secondary school 2009 1620 pupils age 16 – 19, 310 employes Academic studies and vocational studies Seven vocational proffesions Schools vision; is being courageous, curious and outward-looking.

Thor Heyerdahl Upper Secondary school is situated in the city Larvik on the coast of the Oslofjord in the South-East of Norway, has a ferry connection to Denmark and a 1,5 hour drive to Oslo. Larvik is famous for its pure drinking water Farris and the stone Larvikitt

Thor Heyerdahl Upper Secondary Schools’ projects We have for 2016-2019 applied for a Strategic partnership – with 3 other schools, Bulgari, France and Italy, New teaching methods for more active students : key to success We have also been invited for cooperation in a Strategic partnership with Slovakia and Czech Republic, Suitable theory + practical training = professionalism - program for industry and production, for staff. And we have applied for new mobility exchange for students ( courageous explorers in the footsteps of Thor Heyerdahl) 2016 -2018 And we got approved Erasmus project - mobility for staff - in 2015, Job shadowing, course and teaching assignments abroad, cooperation with France and Germany
