Costume History Project 2017 1. You must select a period of History to research. (drawn from bin) 2. You must find the requested information and report to the class on the following areas for your assigned historical period .

Costume History Project List the dates of your selected period Find out why your period is called what it is? Example: Why is the “Restoration” called the Restoration Period?

Costume History Project DUE: Find (mutiple…at least 2 )examples of and describe what would be worn by: Adult male, Adult female, Children (male and female), Royalty (wealthy), Poor, Military Make two hand drawn (colored) designs one Male and Female in your period clothing.

Costume History Project List 20 significant historical events/facts which occurred during your period. List 5 technological inventions made during your historical period and draw conclusions as to how each invention might have benefited or effected later theatrical practices.

Costume History Project Describe the common theatrical practices of the time concerning ...lights, scenery, costumes, makeup, acting, special effects, any other interesting theatrical protocols (conventions), etc. ( in other words ----how did they do theatre back then)

However….(beware…wikipedia is not considered a reliable source. Published books are still considered the most reliable of sources. Citations must be done in standard MLA format.
