Minimum requirement for the degree is 6 credits. BScBA students can include one basic course “package” (= alkeiskurssi) of 6 cr (Spanish, French, Russian or German) as part of required language and communication studies for the degree.

More than 6 credits in the foreign language II If a student wants to do both the basic course “package” (6 cr) and the business communication course “package” (6 cr), the other 6 cr can be counted as elective studies.

The missing credits for BScBA degree are completed by taking more credits in one of the foreign languages II or a communication-related elective course

Exemptions for Finnish and Swedish studies (continues) Example: Finnish for Foreigners (3 cr) organized for the foreign students, but they are exempted from completing the Swedish language course (3 cr). -> The missing 3 credits are completed by taking 3 extra credits in one of the foreign languages II (for example Spanish), so the student will complete 9 cr in total: - Basics in Business Spanish 1 (3 cr) - Basics in Business Spanish 2 (3 cr) - Spanish Business Communication 1a (3 cr)

Use the electronic registration from available on Into. Please return the form to Mari Syväoja by email by 25 January 2017. After that you will get information on the language groups.

STEP 2 in this registration process: After we have announced the language groups, you can register for the business courses of the summer 2017 (deadline in February and announced separately). * Please see the list of courses in the course schedule. There will be an electronic registration form on Into you need to return to Mari Syväoja by email. * NOTE. There will not be any separate info session anymore for summer business courses. These registrations will be confirmed to you by email in February 2017.

Elective courses for the degree The elective courses completed in Mikkeli or during the study abroad will affect your eligibility for different Master´s programs after graduation. In case you have been accepted to the BScBA Program in 2015 or after that, please see the criteria for continuing after graduation to different M.Sc. Programs of the Helsinki Campus: https://into.aalto.fi/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=18604052 In case you have been accepted to the BScBA Program before 2015, please see the admission criteria for the M.Sc. Programs on the website of different universities.

Interest in M.Sc. Programs In order for us to continue planning with the Helsinki M.Sc. Program staff, we will ask your interest at the moment in different Master´s programs after graduation. - These questions are included in the language registration form. Please note that this does not commit you to any final decisions yet, this is just for us to get a view of the possible demand for the M.Sc. programs in the future.
