Progress: parliaments in 4 municipalities have passed 3 year strategies, and funded them each year. Future: develop youth strategies in 20 municipalities

Prospects for Youth - Krygyzstan Achievements: 20 or so partner municipalities now either have their own youth work budget, or are allocating more of their municipal budget to activities for young people. Trained youth officers are developing programmes in career guidance and employment. One youth centre is now providing a meeting place for ten local youth organisations TV channel for young people began broadcasting from a youth centre, serving 57 communities A youth organization renovated an old cultural centre with support from the municipality. It now offers rooms for events and services such as a passport photo studio, which generates revenue for the youth organisation
Youth Corps Programme - Kazakhstan World Bank funding $22M 2016-17 Mission: to promote young people's community engagement and life skills through a community-based service learning program, especially for vulnerable youth
