Learn more: www.lgbtinthesouth.com The Southern Equality Fund is a project of the Campaign for Southern Equality, an advocacy organization based in Asheville, NC, and working for full lived and legal equality for LGTBQ Southerners. We provide tools – like funding and training – for Southern LGTBQ organizers who are doing heroic work to transform the South. We provide micro-grants of up to $500 to groups in the South that promote equality, safety and/or visibility of LGBTQ people. Group budget may not exceed $50,000. 501c3 status is NOT required. Current Open Rounds: Safe Schools, Safe Communities: Promote safety in schools and communities across the South; and Protect and defend anyone who is targeted based on race, age, gender identity, immigration status, religious beliefs, ability and/or sexual orientation. General Fund: We are always accepting and reviewing applications on an ongoing basis for projects that promote equality, safety, and/or visibility of Southern LGBTQ people.
