Why? DOH Rules and Regulations: FGI guidelines 1.2-7.5 Existing Conditions Existing Conditions and operations shall be documented prior to initiation of renovation and/or new construction….. Best Practices. Goals: Create an accurate basis for developing scope, cost, schedule and design, Identify non-compliant conditions Minimize unknown project conditions Minimize change orders

What need to be surveyed/documented? FGI 1.2-7.5 Existing Conditions Existing conditions…shall include mechanical/electrical…plumbing, fire suppression; detection; alarm.. Existing defects and deficiencies: Compromised/missing barrier walls; Missing dampers; Missing fire stopping.. Program elements per FGI guidelines: Adequate storage space; utility rooms… For projects that require pre-occupancy inspection, all of the above in the entire fire compartment including the egress path to public street. How to conduct Field Survey? Follow all established NYP Procedures. Coordinate all activates with clients; current occupants of the space; Security; EVS and Facilities Operation For intrusive work - PCRA; Infection Control measures; above ceiling permits, IC Cube/Booth etc. FDC will provide support of a small call-in contractor if needed.
