TIMBER TRADE MILA CHMIROw. Yr 2

WHY IS TIMBER Important? WHY IS THERE TIMBER? WHERE DOES THE TIMBER COME FROM? WHO CUTS THE TIMBER?

WHY IS TIMBER Important? We can make houses with timber. We can build wooden toys. We could get wood for fires and that would keep us warm in winter.

WHY IS THERE TIMBER? THERE IS TIMBER TO GIVE US OXYGEN AND SHADE.

Why did they plant timber? In 1901 Blackbutt realised that all over Queensland the trees were being cut down so fast that they might run out of trees. So the Council decided to plant lots and lots of trees so that Blackbutt would never run out of timber.

Who cuts the timber? Wood cutters cut the timber.
