Presentation transcript:

Mrs. Hake’s Friday, Feb. 10th edition CLASSROOM 2016-2017 news Sneak Peak Week in Review: at Next Week This week we learned all about community helpers. We learned that a good is something you make and a service is something you provide. We read I Want a Hat Like That and wrote about what community helper we want to be when we grow up. During groups, we sorted community helper jobs into those that provide goods and those that provide services; and then wrote a list of them. We worked on ea words and our teen numbers. We loved the Star Lab. It allowed us to see the night sky as we learn the difference between day and night, Thank you to MR. G. for helping us out! Mon. Star Student: Karlee Wed. two out orange Rainbow WORDS Valentine’s Day Party Our party is on February 14th from 2:00 – 3:00. Parents are welcome but not obligated to attend. Valentine cards are great way to practice name writing! Use this experience to practice writing first or first and last names. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT ADDRESS VALENTIN CARDS TO A SPECIFIC STUDENT, AS CARDS WILL BE PASSED OUT DOWN A LINE IN ORDER TO TAKE LESS TIME AWAY FROM OUR FUN PARTY! Again, please have children only sign their own name. Also, it is easiest to pass out cards that are unisex. Valentine bags will be made at school so there is no need to send one in. THANK YOU for helping make this experience FUN and EDUCATIONAL! There are 23 students in your child’s class. Discuss family jobs – what tools do they use, where do they work, do they provide a good or a service. Write teen numbers in sand, rice, or make with play dough. Sound out to write a list of jobs you would like to have. Make a list of jobs you can help with at home. Make patterns with hearts. Read and discuss what you read – retell in order.
