GCSE’s Core subjects and a number of optional subjects. Time management is essential They will have homework every day. It will be recorded on ‘ Show My Homework’
Changes to English & Maths that have already occurred New GCSEs will be graded and students will be awarded one of nine grades A grade U (unclassified) still represents that a qualification has not been awarded. The grades will be described using numbers (1-9) rather than letters. Grade 9 will represent the highest level of attainment, grade 1 will be the lowest. BTEC courses remain the same – Pass, Merit or Distinction
Grade 4/5 = the current C grade The new grade 9 will actually be statistically determined each year – top 3-5% Grade 4/5 = the current C grade Grade 5 will become the equivalent of the ‘C’ - the expected achievement grade
Key Dates Grade Cards are issued in October, December, March and you will receive a written End of Year Report in the Summer Term Parents’ Consultation Evening Thursday 19 January 2017 Invitation-Only Parents’ Evening in May 2015
