The purpose of this session is to: Illustrate how public health encompasses wide-ranging national and global issues and consider why it is seen as being relevant to all. Help you to discover how you and your interests fit into the public health agenda by helping you to uncover your own passion for this subject area. Find out how postgraduate study of public health can help you to develop the necessary knowledge and academic skills required in the vital quest for the improvement of health and wellbeing both nationally and internationally. Inspire you to study public health at Bournemouth University.

Why study public health at post graduate level and what characterises post graduate or level 7 study?

Characteristics of study at level 7 : Developing in-depth knowledge studying independently thinking independently being able to analyse research and other types of knowledge and coming up with conclusions based on this being able to evaluate your own and other’s work being able to draw information together, to come up with new solutions to problems and offer new ways of thinking about things being able to communicate ideas and arguments effectively and accurately in an academic way.
