Fundraising and Budget We Do A Lot of Fundraising-successfully Yard clean up, sock sales, Jerry’s carryout, car wash Where Does This Money Go? We have 9 total coaches….and growing We may have 60 or more kids in program Need to pay for some facilities (golf courses and balls) Goal Is To Never Have An Assessment Still may never have one, but can’t guarantee this year If we do, it would be nominal ($50-100) per player

Fundraising and Budget Your 2017 Costs Registration fee $100 in car wash tickets Core uniforms Paddyshack March 17th at Edina Country Club Encourage you to attend and bring another couple A sustainable yearly event/fundraiser Vineyard Vines March 9th, 10% of all sales and 10% goes to team

Practice and Tryouts Practice- March 20-22 Braemar range or dome- weather dependent Check website closer to date Tryouts (ALL WEATHER DEPENDENT) April 3,4- Braemar range and short course April 5,6,7- Theodore Wirth Golf Course 9 holes each day- bus departing from High School April 10- Windsong Farm Golf Course Low 20 (reserve right to add more), 12 holes April 11- Interlachen Country Club Low 16 will play 12 holes

Practice and Tryouts Metrics and How We Choose 75% will be tryout scores 25% is subjective- past performance, summer scores, etc Top 5 in tryouts scores automatically on varsity Sam Berghult, Nick Brann and Jack Ebner are exempt Actions Items Before Tryouts Write a summary of your personal and golfing goals Send an updated golf resume or stats from summer Send above to edinaboysgolfcoach@gmail.com

2017 Team Structure Varsity- 10 players (all grades) Every team member will compete in matches 16 total matches Can and will be movement between junior varsity Junior Varsity- 12 players (9,10,and 11 grades) Every team member will compete in matches Movement between varsity and development teams

2017 Team Structure Development Team- (9,10, and 11 grades) All members will compete in matches 12 matches and a State Tournament Movement between junior varsity Each player will play at least 2x per week Senior Development Mentors Seniors who don’t make varsity will be given the opportunity to mentor/coach the development team to earn a varsity letter
