The rise of dictators after world war one L.O: To know what a dictator is. To know how a dictatorship differs from a DEMOCRACY. To sit a test on the 3 most famous dictators of the 20th Century: Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini.

What is a dictator? In pairs come up with an agreed meaning to the word. Be prepared to share your definition with the rest of the class. Dictionary definition: ( write this into your books) Noun: A ruler with total power over a country, typically one who has obtained power by force. A person who tells people what to do in an autocratic way or who determines behavior in a particular sphere.

You and your partner will have 10 minutes to get this information down on a piece of plain paper. YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO WRITE 5 WORDS! ON YOUR NOTES THE REST HAS TO BE PICTURES. TIME LIMIT 10 MINS The information sheet will then be taken away by the teacher and you will share your information with others. ONE OF YOU WILL HAVE TO STAY BEHIND TO SHARE INFORMATION ON YOUR DICTATOR WHILST YOUR PARTNER GOES OUT ON A FACTFINSING MISSION FOR YOU BOTH. YOU WILL HAVE 10 MINS TO DO THIS The fact finder can write as much down in their book as they like! Then you will get 10 mins to share all of the information with your partner You will then ALL sit a test.
