Gender and Investment and Assessment Strategies in Innovation Systems, the Case of Papa Andina, Peru Silvia Sarapura-Escobar, AAS-WorldFish Assessment strategies were applied to evaluate the Papa Andina Initiative. The research was organized in a way that combined sex-disaggregated data collection with iterative gender disaggregated analysis of the native potatoes market chain, its system and structures. The case of Papa Andina informs us that gender issues are implicit parts of agricultural innovation. By investing in gender research, women and vulnerable groups benefit as innovators, partners and co-researchers.
