Class Devotion For Whom Do You Pray?

Listen for whom to pray. 1 Tim. 2:1-4 (NIV) I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- [2] for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. [3] This is good, and pleases God our Savior, [4] who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Consider What kinds of prayers were mentioned? Requests Prayers Intercession Thanksgiving For whom should we pray? Kings All those in authority

Consider What is the purpose of these prayers for our leadership? Live peaceful and quiet lives Live in godliness and holiness That men might come to salvation Pray today for leadership at all levels From RA’s at our school … to … Governors and presidents Proverbs 21:1 (NIV) The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.
