THE WILL OF GOD and SALVATION

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV

God wants ALL PEOPLE to be SAVED We are urged to pray for everyone – 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Even those we may think are hopeless! – Matthew 5:43-45 Prayer is powerful! – James 5:16; Acts 4:23-31; Colossians 4:2-6

God wants ALL PEOPLE to be SAVED This is good and pleases God our Savior – 1 Timothy 2:3-4 More than anything, God wants ALL people to be saved! – John 3:16; Luke 19:10; Mark 16:15-16 He wants everyone to come to a knowledge of the truth – John 8:31-32; 17:17

God DOES NOT want ANYONE to PERISH He wants everyone to come to repentance– Acts 17:30-31 Repentance is a change of heart that leads to a changed life – Romans 2:1-11; 12:2 It’s a continuous frame of mind that is always refocusing and redirecting our lives
