Ways Drugs Enter the Body

(1) Orally * Taken in the mouth. Swallowing-pills, capsules Chewing-pills, food (marijuana) Drinking-liquid, rohyphnol (dissolved in drinks) * Enter the bloodstream through stomach and small intestine.

(2) Injection hypodermic needle. The drug acts quickly. Injected in the muscle (IM) or the vein(IV) (instant). Often drug users share needles and infectious diseases are passed.

(3) Smoking Drugs that are often smoked are tobacco, marijuana, and crack cocaine, heroin, opium, peyote, meth. Enters bloodstream through lungs
