SRCplus –Short Rotation Woody Crops (SRC) for local supply chains and heat use April 2014 - March 2017 supported by the Intelligent Energy for Europe Programme of the European Commission. Short rotation crops (SRCs) = Biomass productions systems cultivated for energy purposes using fast-growing tree species (willow, poplar, black locust…) with the ability to resprout from the stumps after harvest Project aim: support and speed-up the development of local SRC supply chains by implementing various capacity building measures and regional mobilization actions for the key actors in local supply chains.
