The Basics Pageviews Unique Pageviews Visits or Sessions- the number of times users view a page. Unique Pageviews counts all the times the page was viewed in an individual session as a single event Visits or Sessions- the individual periods of time that visitors spend on your site. (ended either after 30 minutes of inactivity or if the user leaves your site for more than 30 minutes )
User Behavior Landing Page The page your user begins their visit to your site on; quite simply, how they ‘land’ on your site. Bounce Rate Bounce rate is given as a percentage, and represents the number of visits when users leave your site after just one page; regardless of how they got to your site or how long they stayed on that page.
Tools we can use now Overviews Tracking Campaigns Problem Solving Reports to show basic overview of activity on your sites Tracking Campaigns Wherever you/we put a link to your site we can alter the URL to track where it came from to give you an idea of what medium is most effective. Problem Solving Looking at high bounce rates, short sessions, long load time and page flows and looking at your site to see how we can improve it.

Things to Know Use sparingly-really know when you need to redirect Be aware of links out there (print materials, other departments, within your own site) You cannot update a bit.ly, you must create a new one each time. Redirect requests can be made through SAM, but keep in mind they are requests that will need to go through WebComm-no guarantees
