MAAG is an acronym for “Modular At A Glance” What is a MAAG kit? MAAG is an acronym for “Modular At A Glance” Modular: Kits are made from individual “cells” Each cell can be replaced separately Entire kits do not need to be replaced to accommodate small BOM changes or individual part number changes Design protects kit investment and useable life
What is a MAAG kit? At A Glance With a simple glance employees can almost instantly verify: Part quantities, Part numbers Part missing, Part condition, etc. Installation Technician will not have to: Count parts, Verify part types, etc. Significantly lowers build times and labor hours Cut open bags (excluding clean parts) or envelopes dramatically reduces FOD
MAAG kit vs Foam kit These kits contain the same quantity and type of hardware. Beside the obvious improvement the MAAG kit is ¼ of the size of the foam kit.
This MAAG kit replaced the bin kit on the right. MAAG kit vs Bin kit This MAAG kit replaced the bin kit on the right. Just open, fill with parts and close Contents can be validated in 5 seconds Saves approximately 1.5 man hours per use versus the bin kit Simple payback in just 2 uses not counting other savings 15ft of heat wrap Oven time Assembled for each use Loose packaging & labels (potential FOD) Requires manual counting to validate contents Approximately 1.5 man hours total
Av-Tech Industries Final Inspection and Shipment of Kits Assembly and verification of Kit Configuration to BOM Final inspection to include FOD control Processing of test reports and certifications Source Inspection of completed Kits Security to prevent tampering until point of use Uploading of all required documentation to customer site Packaging and shipping of Kits per customer requirements
Benefits and Features Installation Technicians using MAAG Kits will benefit by…. MAAG Kits increase productivity MAAG Kits reduce lost assembly time Delivery direct to Point of Use MAAG Kits contains all parts required for assembly Defect free hardware Reduced FOD due to: Less handling by technician Greatly reduced packaging (bags and labels)
Benefits to Customer Lower procurement costs after initial ship set Lower production costs through time savings Reduced installation costs Reduce total inventory investment Turn around time is greatly reduced Kits are reusable for many ship sets Flexibility in revisions of kits (simple cell changes) Greatly reduced potential for packaging errors Reduced escapes due to FOD, quantities and hardware damage Reduction in missing hardware due to security feature Sourcing is much faster with MAAG system than bag and tag method 10
