The Trojan War Troy VS. Greece

P1 There was a contest between three goddesses. What did they fight for? A golden apple

P1 Who was asked to determine the winner? Paris, a prince of Troy

P1 How did Aphrodite win the apple? She won the apple after she promised Paris the opportunity to marry Helen.

P2 Why did the Greek King declare war on Troy? Paris took away his wife, Helen.

Except for his heels, his body could not be harmed. P3 Why was the leader of the Greek army, Achilles, seen as the greatest Greek warrior? Except for his heels, his body could not be harmed.

P3 Who killed Achilles and how did he do it? Paris killed Achilles with an arrow to his heel.

P4 Why was the Greeks unable to defeat Troy? because of the huge walls that surrounded Troy

P4 After turning to Athena for help, what did the Greeks do? They built a giant wooden horse.

P5 How did the Trojans see the wooden horse? They saw it as a gift of peach from the Greeks.

P5 How did the Trojan King deal with the wooden horse ? He ordered his army to roll the horse into the city.

P6 What happened at that night? Greek warriors crept out of the horse and burned the city.
