REFLECTIVE Being reflective means you thoughtfully consider the world and our ideas and experiences.  We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses so we continue to learn and grow! This is a great time of year to reflect on your school year and set goals to continue being an inquirer and thinker! May 8th – Day 3 (Music) May 9th – Day 4 (Computers) Progress Reports May 10th – Day 1 (PE) May 11th – Day 2 (Spanish & Art) May 12th – Day 3 (Music) School Store Spirit Day: Neon Day ***Last day to check out library books will be May 15th and books are due May 19th.*** ***Information came home about your child’s Animal Habitat Project due Friday, May 26th.*** ***End-of-Year testing has started! Please be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, a good breakfast, and arrives on time to school each day! THANK YOU!!! Thank you for all the teacher appreciation gifts, cards, and kind words. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and for sharing your child with me this year! Animal Habitat Diorama Project Our last project of the year will be for your child to build a 3D diorama. They have selected their animal and habitat in class and the information packet has been sent home. Your child will be doing research at school their project, but they will need to complete the report and diorama at home. The diorama will need to include their animal and have an accurate replication of their animal’s habitat. Your child will need to complete the report in their own handwriting and will need to do most of the work on the diorama. Spanish Word of the Week: Hasta luego – See you later Letterland: Unit Twenty-Eight Students will learn the third sound, /t/, of the suffix –ed. They will also learn that ed has magic sparks that take the place of Magic e in making a Vowel Man appear. If you lose the word list, you can always go to our class webpage and print the list.
