Let the person at the front desk of the office know who you are and with whom you’re meeting Expect to wait in a small area or in the hallway until the legislator is ready. Day on the Hill Talking Points As we review and develop the talking points, please ask questions. It is important that you are comfortable with these, so that we all give the same message. Topics may include: Requesting an $11.7 million funding increase for Preschool EI Supporting the Governors proposed $65 million increase for Pre-K counts Depending on the status of these issues on April 25, our talking points might include opposition to the proposed $50 million cut for Transportation reimbursement, and opposition to the proposed elimination of property taxes.  Day on the Hill Talking Points We will talk to legislators and their staff about 3-4 topics when we visit with them.
