int’l I-BOARD BASICS The International Board is made of 13 members. The International Council is made of 13 + 33 members I-Board Position: President Vice-President Trustee I-Board Role: Works with Kiwanis, set directives for the board Ensure logistics of the board are fluid and set Represents three ‘sister’ districts on Int’l level

International Trustee Works with the I-Board to define the administrative policies of Key Club Carries out int’l committee directives Maintains consistent communication with the leadership of the districts to which they are assigned + Board meeting and DCON visitations Sends email updates to district boards, represents opinions at I-Board meetings

Board Meetings What we convene to discuss, and what exactly happens in the room where it happens

SNAPSHOT OF AN I-BOARD MEETING BUSINESS Lots of time is allocated towards in-person committee meetings, and the completion of these directives. The actual I-Board meeting is short, since lots of the discussion on amendments is done in as a group. The meeting is the official decision.

MOULDING INTERNATIONAL LEADERS OTHER ACTIVITIES Take advantage of having all I-Board members in the same room — film all the videos: DCON promotional, message to candidates, welcome to new board. Leadership training, workshops held by Kiwanis staff to teach I-Board members how to better interact with others, unique value systems, travel plan booking, reimbursement...
