Classroom Jobs

Line Leader responsible for leading the class to and from the classroom maintains an adequate pace so that each person has adequate personal space, yet there are not big gaps in the line takes the class clipboard to and from specials

Librarian responsible for making sure the classroom library is in a neat and organized state each day collects library books for returning to the library on class library day

Is second in line and holds the door as the class goes through Door Holder #1 Is second in line and holds the door as the class goes through After the last person has left the room, the door holder shuts the door, then falls to the last place in line.

Table Washer#1 & 2 responsible for washing ONE table after lunch If any trash is left on the table, the Table Washers are responsible for throwing that trash away.

Light Leader Turns lights on and off when the teacher requests and when the class leaves the classroom Turns lamp lights on in the morning and off in the afternoon

Mail Person Puts papers to be taken home and returns work in mail boxes

Errand Runner responsible for running errands for the teacher

Hand Sanitizer dispenses a small amount of hand sanitizer in each students’ hand as the class lines up for lunch each day

Pencil Sharpener responsible for sharpening pencils at the end or beginning of the day maintaining an adequate amount of sharpened pencils in the pencil holder for the day

Nurse gathers band-aids for students needing them Is an escort for students needing assistance to the nurse

Clean Up Leader makes sure student desks are kept neat monitors trash on the floor holds class responsible for keeping classroom clean

Substitute collects work for absent students fills in make up memo writes a card or message wishing absent student well

Recess Equipment Manager takes equipment to recess and makes sure equipment is returned airs up balls as needed and makes sure equipment is taken care of

Materials Manager helps to pass out materials to the class collects materials and stores them where they belong responsible for making sure all materials are returned appropriately

Media Technician responsible for turning T.V. on and off adjusts volume as needed assists teacher with technology as needed

Paper Passer responsible for passing out papers for the teacher

Pledge Leader Leads the class in our Class Pledge during Afternoon Wind Down

Celebrations Coordinator Asks classmates if there are any celebrations that anybody would like to announce Celebrations can range from classmates’ birthdays to loosing a tooth or something very exciting that you want to share with the class

Wish & Welcome Absent Students leads the class in the Wish You Well ritual for absent student and the Welcome Back ritual for returning students during afternoon wind down

Thought of the Day comes up with or chooses a heartfelt or inspirational message from a list to write on the white board each morning

Afternoon Wind Down Leader Reminds students of homework assignments Lets classmates know what is on the lunch menu for the next day Asks students if anyone’s buckets have been filled, by whom, and how
