Invitation Annual Procurement Conference for Energy & Water Projects and Facilitating Private Sector Investment Contractors have significant roles in achieving the MEW Projects successes, and if we can get high-qualified contractors interested in bidding on the Water and Energy projects, certainly, it will have great impact on the completion of the projects within time, budget and quality. Most of the MEW projects are complicated which require high-tech and well-qualified companies. The Afghan private sector is still young on large Energy and Water infrastructure fields and mostly not qualified to bid independently and most of the time they have to bid along with the international companies. Based on MEW learned lessons and researches, most of the bidders with required potential are not adequately aware of the procurement processes and procurement law of Afghanistan and consequently, they miss to bid and sometimes after the bid evaluation processes, the qualified companies miss to express their capabilities and qualifications within their documents while bidding. Regarding mentioned points, MEW has plan to launch annual Conferences for awareness of the new Projects under procurement plan in advance, Procurement Processes, bidding Evaluation and make a better Co-Working Network of Government, Agencies, Potential investors, Companies, Private Sector and International Donors. Certainly, this conference will provide a good impact of transparency, accountability and fighting corruption and consequently, to contract with high-qualified companies and completion of projects successfully.

On 25rd and 26th July 2017, MEW is launching an Event for the Energy and Water Projects under procurement plan and facilitating private sectors investment. The event will include speakers, Panel Discussions, Workshops and to review all projects under procurement plan, how to bid for projects, and what is the main value that MEW award a project to a company based on that, and more.
