The Great Gatsby Myrtle Wilson-Tom's mistress her husband is George Wilson, he owns a garage Jay Gatsby, owns extravagant house next to Nick and throws even more extravagant parties. Nick Carraway-narrator Tom and Daisy Buchanan-Daisy is Nick's cousin Jordan Baker-Daisy sets her up with Nick Myrtle Wilson-Tom's mistress. Plot Gatsby begins to lie right away. Later it is clear that Gatsby and Daisy had been in love at one point. They agree to meet again, and love is renewed. Tom finds out that Daisy is cheating and he outs Gatsby for his lies at a group function. Summer of 1922 Nick rents a small home. Daisy and Tom live in East Egg Tom introduces Nick to Myrtle. Eventually Nick and Jordan get invited to one of Gatsby's parties.
Plot (cont.) A large yellow car runs her over in the street and kills her. Tom and Daisy reconcile after everything that happened. Myrtle's husband goes crazy and kills Gatsby. Daisy and Gatsby leave after Tom and Gatsby's spat. They take Gatsby's yellow Rolls Royce. Back to Myrtle her husband also finds out shes cheating and locks her in a closet.
