DS200 IDEA LINE PARAMETERS
PURPOSE The purpose of this presentation is to explain the details of all the line parameters listed in Idea.
PORT PARAMETERS These parameters can be set specifically for individual ports and then can be copied to multiple ports by the use of Multiple Port Parameters menu.
PORT PARAMETERS
PORT PARAMETERS Accessible with 9: When set as ‘Yes’ this line can be accessed both by Automatic Line Access (pressing 9) and by dialing its access code. Adjusting it as ‘No’ makes the line accessible only by dialing its access code.
Accessible with 9 for only ringing-sbsc: PORT PARAMETERS Accessible with 9 for only ringing-sbsc: When set as ‘No’, any extension can use this line by Automatic Line Access (pressing 9). Adjusting it as ‘Yes’ makes the line accessible only by its ringing extension by pressing 9.
ARS authority threshold: PORT PARAMETERS ARS authority threshold: This is a read-only parameter. It shows LCR authority level of the line. ARS for a line is operational only for the “network-mode” lines. If a call is received through a network-mode line and then an external call is established via LCR in the same call, the ARS for this network-mode line will be checked
PORT PARAMETERS Authorization check: Used to decide if authorities of extensions are check on this line or not. - When set as ‘Yes’, extensions can use this line and make calls beyond their limits. - Can be used for tie-line connections.
PORT PARAMETERS Centrex Trunk: When marked as ‘Yes’, that line can be used to call Centrex exchanges. - On Centrex lines, only a certain part of dialed digits is sent to the external line with appropriate LCR filter definition.
Charging Pulse Account Activated: PORT PARAMETERS Charging Pulse Account Activated: Sets pulse account for lines. Activates GPBX account use even in non – GPBX mode of system. When the pulse in the account becomes 0, call is disconnected.
Check Dial Tone / Wait Before Sending Number: PORT PARAMETERS Check Dial Tone / Wait Before Sending Number: Activates dial tone check on lines. If set as ‘No’, there is a delay before sending the digits. The second parameter programs this delay.
PORT PARAMETERS Dial in: Defines the signaling on the line as DTMF or DP.
Dialing type after connection: PORT PARAMETERS Dialing type after connection: Defines the signaling mode (DTMF or DP) of the sent digits after the called party answers the call. Valid only for DP lines. Valid only when LCR is active with Dn filter. (Dn filter means wait for n digits)
DISA Remote Line Accessible: PORT PARAMETERS DISA Remote Line Accessible: Sets the permission of the line to be used in Remote Access Mode. When set as ‘No’, extensions cannot access to this line in Remote Line Access. Remote Line Access: Extension is away from the system and he calls DISA line of the system. Extension dials 9 + his no + his password and makes an external call.
Drop Line if No Polarity or Pulse Received in a Minute (GPBX Mode) : PORT PARAMETERS Drop Line if No Polarity or Pulse Received in a Minute (GPBX Mode) : Used only in GPBX mode. If any method for cost calculation cannot be detected within the first minute after accessing the line, the call can be disconnected with this facility.
PORT PARAMETERS DTMF Detection Time: Adjusts the duration DTMF digits that can be detected on this line (applications like ACD or DISA lines).
Fax ext. access no / Incoming call is fax: PORT PARAMETERS Fax ext. access no / Incoming call is fax: These two parameters are used for setting fax mode detection on the line. When ‘Incoming call is fax’ is set to ‘No’, fax tone is not detected. When ‘Incoming call is fax’ is set to ‘Yes’, the incoming calls are always forwarded to fax ext. access no.
PORT PARAMETERS Fax ext. access no / Incoming call is fax continues: When ‘Incoming call is fax’ is set to ‘Tone controlled’, the system checks the tone of the incoming call. If a fax tone exits, it is forwarded to fax ext., if not it is forwarded to the ringing extension.
Forward Incoming Network Call To Ringing-Subscriber: PORT PARAMETERS Forward Incoming Network Call To Ringing-Subscriber: Used only on E&M and PLC lines. If the caller on E&M line does not dial any code after reaching the system, he can: receive error tone, or be connected to the ringing ext. immediately, or be connected to the ringing ext. after 20 seconds.
Guest / Personnel Charging Price: PORT PARAMETERS Guest / Personnel Charging Price: You can define two different unit pulse prices: One of them will be used by guest extensions The other one will be used by personnel extensions.
PORT PARAMETERS In error state: This is a read-only parameter. It appears as ‘Yes’ if the line is put out of service due to lack of dial tone.
PORT PARAMETERS In service: Used to put the line out of service or in
In service for extension groups: PORT PARAMETERS In service for extension groups: Using this parameter, you can mark the line to serve the desired extension access groups. 32 different extension access groups can be formed. Extension access groups are formed by entering a group number for each extension. The groups to which the line is serving can be defined different for Day and Night Modes.
Incoming/outgoing external call timeout: PORT PARAMETERS Incoming/outgoing external call timeout: Using this parameter, you can define timeout for the calls made through this line. If the extension has his own timeout value as well, the smaller timeout value (either the one of extension or the one of line) will be considered. At the end of that time, the conversation will be terminated.
Line-line connection timeout: PORT PARAMETERS Line-line connection timeout: This parameter sets the duration of the calls established by line-line connection facility. If the parties do not hang up at the end of the duration, the call will be disconnected.
Menu message numbers: PORT PARAMETERS Main functions of EVM200 card are: Greeting a caller in Day Mode Greeting a caller in Night Mode Warning the caller when ext. is busy Warning the caller when ext. is no answering EVM200 plays messages in these functions. Those messages can be set differently for each line with these parameters.
Network Mode: PORT PARAMETERS This mode was mainly aimed for tie- line connections. The following rules apply for network mode lines: Number of dialed digits is not counted by the system. The connection is established 4 sec. after the last dialed digit. For the incoming calls, the callers must dial direct extension numbers to reach the system. For digital lines, UAC table is not used. Calls on network mode lines are not recorded by default. If required, this setting can be changed by program.
PORT PARAMETERS On error DISA line: In Remote Line Access calls from this line, if a wrong code is dialed, one of the following can be programmed: Line is dropped. Error tone is given to the caller. Remote Line Access: Extension calls system’s DISA line and dials 9 + his no + his password to make an external call.
PORT PARAMETERS PBX: These read-only parameters show the next line in the PBX group for Day and Night modes.
PORT PARAMETERS Polarity Reversal: This parameter can be used to set polarity reversal detection on the line. Polarity reversal offers an accuracy of start-end time of calls.
PORT PARAMETERS Polarity Reversal continues: Polarity reversal is a facility, which is offered by service provider. This port parameter functions only if the service provider i offering it. When the called party answers the call, the service provider changes the order A-B wires of the line. This is noted as start time of the call. When the called party hangs up the call, the service provider changes the order of wires again. This is noted as end time of the call and the call is disconnected.
Polarity Reversed On Rural Extensions: PORT PARAMETERS Polarity Reversed On Rural Extensions: EX200 (0/16R) cards can be programmed to change polarity. This parameter decides when that polarity will be reversed on this line: If a pulse unit is detected, or, Automatically after 4 seconds Used when used by EX200 (0/16R) cards.
Remote Line Access timeout: PORT PARAMETERS Remote Line Access timeout: DISA lines can be used to access E&M lines. Normally, these calls last for 3 minutes. This parameter can be used to delete this time limit.
PORT PARAMETERS Ringing Extension: These parameters define the Day and Night Mode ringing extensions for the calls coming through this line.
PORT PARAMETERS Rx / Tx gain: These parameters define the gain levels of received / transmitted voice. They can take the values 0 or 1 for EX200 (8/0) cards and 0...7 for EX200 (8+/0) cards.
Special line (no call record and password): PORT PARAMETERS Special line (no call record and password): When marked as ‘Yes’, following items apply: Calls made through these lines are not recorded. Extension who have locked their telephone can access to these lines without using their password.
Tone detection to drop line at the end of the call active: PORT PARAMETERS Tone detection to drop line at the end of the call active: During a call, when there is no polarity / pulse, the system checks the tone on the line. If a tone is detected, this is interpreted as hung up of connected party and the call is disconnected. This parameter can be used to deactivate this tone check on the tine.
Unanswered/Busy calls return to: PORT PARAMETERS Unanswered/Busy calls return to: Decides whether the calls from this line can be forwarded to EVM200 menus when the called extension is busy or not answering. Operates for non-ACD lines.
Uniform distribution on PBX group: PORT PARAMETERS Uniform distribution on PBX group: If the line is used in an LCR route, this parameter defined uniform distribution on PBX group members of this line. In the second dialing through the route, the next line in the PBX group will be used, in the third dialing the one coming after will be used...
PORT PARAMETERS Usage: The lines can serve to incoming calls in three modes: Normal. An extension rings directly. DISA. The system first answers the call. A special tone is given to the caller. He can dial the extension number. ACD. The system first answers the call. A message is played to the caller. He can dial the extension number.
PORT PARAMETERS Usage continues: Differences between DISA / ACD: DISA can work without EVM200, ACD cannot. Callers have many programmable options in ACD lines. DISA line callers can only dial extension numbers and leave messages to those extensions. Remote Line Access can be used only on DISA lines.
