Together for human dignity, peace and development

Ukraine and United Nations Ukraine was a founding member of the United Nations along with the Soviet Union and the Soviet Republic of Belarus. In 1997 Ukraine presided over the General Assembly during which a comprehensive programme of the UN reform was approved. In over 25 years 37 000 Ukrainians participated in 20 UN international peacekeeping operations and missions

Ukraine and United Nations UN representative office was opened in Kyiv in 1992. 17 agencies, funds, programmes & associated institutions operate in Ukraine. The UN operates on invitation of the Government of Ukraine
