Things to do with your family or friends…. We are very fortunate to find ourselves living in a unique location where we can walk along sand dunes and paddle in the sea in the morning, then go for a bike ride over the South Downs in the afternoon. All this is at our doorstep and is free! Live the value of simplicity and just take a walk discovering our fantastic world…

Things to do with your family or friends…. Orienteering – A fantastic way to keep fit, learn skills of navigation and enjoy the environment. Manor Field hold a family event twice a year (September and January / February) but if you would like to become more involved, Southdowns Orienteers have local events most weekends with other exciting events for club members. For more information visit: http://www.southdowns-orienteers.org.uk/

Things to do with your family or friends…. Geocaching – A great way to spend an afternoon if you are out and about. All you need is a mobile device with the recommended App. This is treasure hunting for the digital generation! You look for small containers, hidden around the local area, using your phone. Some containers have toys or trinkets in that you can exchange with something of similar value. There are many ‘caches’ hidden around the Burgess Hill area – But shhhhh - you have to keep their locations a secret! For more information visit: http://www.geocaching.com/

Other places of interest Sussex Wildlife trust – Bush craft, pond dipping and much more! http://www.sussexwildlifetrust.org.uk/

ECO-COMMITTEE Do you care about the environment? Would you like to help raise awareness around the school regarding green issues? To find out how you can be involved: MAIN HALL – THURSDAY 29TH MAY 12.45PM

Green websites http://www.kidsbegreen.org/ http://www.reducereuserecycle.co.uk/greendirectory/kids_green_sites.php http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/ http://www.kidsplanet.org/

ECO-COMMITTEE -With such an amazing world we live in, it is important we take care of it so others can experience its beauty in the future. Here are a few things you can do: Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth. Re-use bags to shop. Use local stores. Buy food with less packaging. Walk rather than use the car. Turn off lights when you leave the room. Reduce, reuse and recycle!
