IMPORTANCE AND RELEVANCE F THE RESEARCH The Kashmiri Pandits are Brahmins from Kashmir valley, a mountain region in Indian state of J and K. Exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from 1985-1995 Ethnic Cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus 27 Years of exile Barbarous method used Torture on women and children Refugees in own country Waiting to return to the native place

Importance of Research To let the world know the exodus of the ethnic group so that we preserve our ethnic groups The impact on the past and future generation as result of exodus To tackle and stop future exodus To bind the generation to the roots original roots

Interviewed the Kashmiri Pandits. METHODS Interviewed the Kashmiri Pandits. Went to their shelters Had 1:1 to family members who are victims Books referring to Exodus

BACKGROUND- A STORY Mr Raj Kaul was living with his parents, wife ( 8 months pregnant) and son in valley. With a terrifying situation that arouse in valley in 1990 that shattered not only his life bur lives of lakhs...Warning letters were pasted on his doors stating LEAVE VALLEY or face consequences. With the thought of not leaving his roots, he took decision of staying. The other day only his pregnant wife was kidnapped . He appealed in local newspaper to leave his wife who was going to deliver baby after one month but all in vain...And one morning when he opened door , he saw his wife’s dead body brutally RAPED and MURDERED. Shattered family left the valley. They started living in temporary shelters. Again tragedy waiting...His mother went to get grocery and died because of scorching heat and sun stroke. As in valley Kashmiri Pandits were habituated to pleasant weather!! And the other day, snake bite his old father since their temporary shelters were not so advanced..only just polyester cloth converted into tents. Family ENDED... Now Mr Raj is survived with his son for whom he did small jobs to earn so that his career is established. His son is an engineer in reputed company.. This is story of one family and there are lakhs of Mr Raj Kaul who faced and are facing the past pain in their present...

Conclusion A Culture is grown and taken forward to be called as ethnic with its distinctive features in terms of language, culture etc. Kashmiri Pandits suffered in the native and present place Mentally, emotional health hampered People want to go to native place Demand their rights

Conclusion Who are Kashmiri Pandits and what they have faced should be know to world Rights under UN Protocol should be given Reservation should be given in education, employment The religious place should be secured in valley Strict actions should be taken to stop mass killings etc Return of Kashmiri Pandits to their own home with full respect and dignity India is largest democracy and our constitution mentions to preserve cultural and ethnic group
