Subject Pronouns

Subjects The subject of a sentence is the person or thing performing the action. The boy rides his bike to school. The book is on the table.

Pronouns A pronoun is a word that replaces a noun so that you don’t have to be repetitive. He likes his bike. It is open. She prefers French.

Subject Pronouns Subject Pronouns are those words that replace the subject in a sentence. The boy rides his bike to school. He likes his bike. The book is on the table. It is open. Samira hates algebra. She prefers French.

Subject Pronouns Because they are the subject of a sentence, subject pronouns are generally found at the beginning of a sentence. Subject Pronouns - like the subject itself - are generally followed by a conjugated verb.
