Pasadena Public Library   Our first field trip was to the Pasadena Public Library about our architect We read books

Pyramid Materials: 12 straws 12-20 paper clips Construction paper Tape How many pennies did it hold ??

Cube Materials: 20 straws Paper clips Books or cups Try to see what will make it stronger.

Column Materials: Paper roll (toilet paper) Books Salt How many books will it hold???

Creating a column Clay Roll Wax paper Toothpicks Designs Roll out the clay Keep it even in size Roll it on to the paper roll Create top and base Let it dry

Downtown Tour We discovered new things We took pictures for our unique projects

Penny Bridge Materials: 3 sheets 8 ½ x 11 paper 2 books the same size 2 more books any size 50 pennies Stand the 2 books the same size up Use the other books for support Fold the paper for a bridge Add the pennies
