Star Challenge I have worked safely and hygienically. I have decorated my cake using basic skills such as spreading on icing with a knife. I have worked to a deadline and left my station clean and tidy. I have decorated my cake using medium level skills using as different pipe icing techniques. I have made my own frosting. Buttercream method Method Ingredients 1. Beat the butter in a large bowl until soft. Add half of the icing sugar and beat until smooth. Add the remaining icing sugar and one tablespoon of the milk and beat the mixture until creamy and smooth. 3. Beat in the milk, if necessary, to loosen the mixture. 4. Stir in the food colouring until well combined. Ingredients 140g/5oz butter, softened 280g/10oz icing sugar 1-2 tbsp milk few drops food colouring
