What do we learn in 6th Grade?? Safety and Sanitation Kitchen Basics (kitchen tools, measuring, equivalents, abbreviations, and cooking terms) Snack Unit (Reading a nutrition label, snack wrapper project) Breakfast Unit (Importance of Breakfast) Lunch Unit (Creating a menu item and description/Quesadilla Challenge) Dinner Unit (Myplate, planning a meal, Chef Project)
What counts as an assessment? Grading 80% Assessments and 20% practice What counts as an assessment?
What do you need for class?? Folder with loose leaf paper or a small notebook Something to write with Highlighter and a grading pen Good Atttitude!
