D&T Yr 8 Takeaway Homework Simple Moderate Challenging Create an inspirational mood board. Collect a range of images that can be used to inspire your storage box design. (think creative and original gather images which might inspire the function and theme). Explain why you have included the images. Create a leaflet on the environmental impacts of using wood to manufacture products. Your leaflet must include interesting facts, information and images. Consider the negative impacts that cuttng trees down can have. Produce a newspaper article. Write an article about a product/design you could not live without. Include a picture of the product you are writing about and remember to include a catchy headline. M D Summarise what you have learnt. Write down a summary of what you have learnt in one or more of your D&T lessons. Create a fact sheet which explains how to use the laser cutter. Your leaflet needs to be clear enough for someone to follow and should also include heath and safety information. Model an iconic design. Using materials that you have at home create a model of an iconic design. Use photos explain how you have made it and why you think it is iconic. M Present your photos and explanation on an A3 page. Produce a fact sheet on Acrylic, Pine and Plywood. Research these 3 types of materials and write down 4 facts about each type. At the end of your fact sheet explain how you are using these materials in your storage box project. Analyse an existing storage box design. Find an image of a creative box design and analyse it.
