TEAMWORK These teachers share an office, work as a team and communicate regularly with each other and with parents about student achievement and welfare. Four other Learning Areas are addressed by teachers outside of the Team. These include The Arts Health & Physical Education Languages Other Than English (LOTE) Technologies Cross Curricular Activities take place between the subjects to reinforce skills and knowledge

CURRICULUM Curriculum specialists teach students. Cross-curricula approaches occur. Curriculum Mapping to the West Australian Curriculum. Links made between all 8 Learning Areas Academic rigour assured Heads of Learning Area in Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Health and Physical Education, Arts, Technologies and a Teacher In Charge of LOTE

TEACHING & LEARNING Professional development to staff to develop teaching style (e.g. use of BYOD in the classroom and Higher Order Thinking Strategies). Engagement of students through variety of teaching and learning styles . WA Curriculum

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT Consistency across Learning Areas (5 School Values). Common approaches to student management (Good Standing Policy). Reward system expanded (Kalacredits). Involve parents to work in partnership with the Team teachers. Events held to reinforce expectations

ORGANISATION FOCUS BYOD / Files Connect Journals Homework

SAER (Students at Educational Risk) Provide effective assistance to students with learning difficulties. Address the need for inclusive classrooms. Provide opportunity for all students to achieve well irrespective of their previous educational experiences.
