What is Type 2 Diabetes? Diabetes Type 2 normally affects people over the age of 40 but can also affect anyone. Diabetes is caused by having too much sugar in your blood. Sometimes your body can not use insulin properly. Insulin helps your body to use blood sugar to keep you active and well.
