The Honor of the King Matthew 2:1-12

The Honor of the King The wise men honored Him with their actions. They diligently searched for the sign in the stars. They traveled a great distance. They risked their lives for the privilege of seeing Him.

The Honor of the King The wise men honored Him with their actions. Herod dishonored Him with deception. Herod was a very jealous man. Herod acted like he favored Jesus. Herod secretly plotted against Jesus.

The Honor of the King The wise men honored Him with their actions. Herod dishonored Him with deception. The wise men honored Him with their treasures. They were overjoyed when they found the star again! The wise men worshipped Jesus. They gave Him significant gifts. Significant in cost. Significant in meaning.

What does that mean to me? Do I honor Jesus with my actions? Do I diligently seek Him daily? Do I follow Him wherever He leads? Is he more important to me than life?

What does that mean to me? Do I dishonor Jesus with deception? Do I refuse to give up control of my life? Do I play like I follow Jesus? Do I secretly act differently?

What does that mean to me? Do I honor Jesus with my treasures? Does my faith make me want to shout for joy? Do I worship Him with my life? Do I give Him significant gifts?
