Promotion to 11th Grade 12 Total Credits 2 English 2 Math 2 Science, Social Studies, or World Language 6 Additional Credits

Grade Scale, Quality Points & Attendance A or O 90-100 8 in a marking period, 4 on an exam B or O 80-89 6 in a marking period, 3 on an exam C or S 70-79 4 in a marking period, 2 on an exam D or S 60-69 2 in a marking period, 1 on an exam F or U 0-59 0 in a marking period, 0 on an exam Formula for calculating quality points: MP(x2) + Exams(x1) = total quality points divided by 10 14 Absences in any class will result in forfeiture of the credit regardless of your grade, unless you are granted an attendance appeal in May.

Optional Elective Credits Delaware Volunteer Credit Summer Work Credit 90 Hours = 1 elective credit administered by the State of Delaware Locate a non-profit volunteer site through: www.VolunteerDelaware.org Keep track of hours on log forms printable through the site Provide documentation of 90 hours of service by April 1st to the Counseling Office 150 hours of tax-payable work = 1 elective credit Bring in paystubs as documentation to receive credit Working teaches responsibility, time management, and “people skills.” Not to mention, it looks good on college applications and puts a little cash in your pocket.

Prepare for What’s Next Challenging Program of Study – Honors and AP courses Strengthen Study Skills – stay after school with teachers, library hours on Mondays and Wednesdays until 3:45, study groups, flash cards, peer tutoring Participate in sports, clubs, activities – build college resume, become well-rounded, learn time management

National Collegiate Athletic Association: NCAA Eligibility Center determines athletic eligibility for college sports as a first year student Minimum GPA of 2.3 is required for Division 1 and a minimum of 2.2 for Division 2. There are SAT cut scores as well for both divisions.
