Malala Class 11.11.16 Name……………………………………………… Homework Grid for November. Please bring in at least one piece of homework by Wednesday of each week to earn 2 Table Tokens for each piece. Final date – Wednesday 23rd November. Basic skills Practise your Learn-its three times a week. (See school website) Research fashion in the 1960s and/or 1970s. Draw and label a diagram to illustrate the Water Cycle, using the words, ‘evaporation’, ‘condensation’ and ‘precipitation’. Create a picture in mixed media on the theme of Autumn. Read for a minimum of 10 minutes, at least four times a week. Research the textile designs of Zandra Rhodes. Learn our new Bible quote for our Christian value of justice: - ‘The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.’ (Proverbs 29:7) Then find a story in the Bible about justice.   Write a short summary of one of Aesop’s Fables and illustrate it. Learn your spellings (either your new list given every 2 weeks or put the ones you have learnt into sentences). Research hats from different periods of time. Can you draw some and label them? What materials were they made from? Learn the multiplication and division facts for the 3 and 4 times tables. Learn the enclosed poem about Autumn and prepare to perform it to the class, including your own actions.

Autumn Swirling, Twirling Autumn leaves Whooshing, Whirling From the trees. Snapping, Cracking Conkers fall. Dropping, Popping Near the wall. Grouping, Swooping Birds up high. Crying, Flying Round the sky. Curling, Furling Smokey fires. Flowing, Blowing Higher, higher. Brenda Williams
