Name __________________________________________ Date___________ BOUNCY BALL SCIENCE Goal: The goal of this project is to create a lab with precise details and procedures that another person can follow and end up with the same results. Objective of the Experiment: Using three bouncy balls, design a test to see which ball can bounce the highest. Directions: Step One: Complete the given lab-sheet titled Bouncy Ball Science Rough Draft. State the purpose in the form of a question to answer based on the objective of the experiment as stated in the goal. Write a hypothesis for the experiment Write all of the necessary materials for the experiment Write a procedure that you will follow in order to do the experiment Your procedure must include the following: A system of measurement and how to measure A specified dropping height and how to drop Force used to drop the balls Surface the balls are dropped on Step Two: Gather the materials needed, conduct the experiment following the procedure you wrote, and complete the observation and conclusion on the lab-sheet. Step Three: Edit the procedures or the materials you used to conduct the experiment Add more steps/details if necessary Step Four: Write up your lab report and create your graphs for your data.

*Your lab must be completed by the end of the period, tomorrow!!* This is how you will be graded: Name____________________________________________ Bouncy Ball Science Rubric Teacher Assessment Purpose _______/ 2 points Hypothesis _______/ 2 points Materials _______/ 2 points Procedure (Step-by-step) _______/ 6 points Data Display (Titles, Labels, Units, Color) _______/ 5 points Observation _______/ 3 points Conclusion _______/ 3 points Spelling & Grammar _______/ 2 points Total _______/ 25 points
