You will work in groups of 3 Indicator Lab You will work in groups of 3

Well Plate Household Products to test (x6) Indicators (x4)

Turn in……one per group Determine the pH range for the color change for each indicator. Draw a color scale for each of your 4 liquid indicators and 4 paper indicators. Use color pencils. Make sure to include your 6 items in your pH scale.  Questions 1. What color does litmus blue turn at a pH of 3?   2. What color does methyl orange turn in a pH of 11? 3. What color does phenolphthalein turn in the presence of a base? 4. A base will turn which indicator yellow? 5. A colorless solution using phenolphthalein indicates what?
