Experience from university as participant in PASCL project Inguna Zariņa University of Latvia 15.12.2016.

Motivation Struggle with engagement of regular students. Engagement of academic staff. Reforms, new technologies, strategies. Strengthening student research skills and involvement in research projects. THE RIGHT time

Main conclusions + peer-mentoring of 1st year students successfully established procedure for the recognition of prior learning high levels of student representation within the university

Main conclusions - Complicated structure with high degree of autonomy of faculties Overlapping activities trainings on competence development for teaching staff Feedback - low turnout of student responses Student counselling and mentorship system

Main changes implemented Student feedback survey has been improved Revised support services for international students

Plans for further development Discussions about making student feedback surveys compulsory. Training for academic staff New strategy document – in process
