Room 18 Panther News hwest@nthurston.k12.wa.us Help!! I’m still looking for parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles to volunteer in our classroom! Homework correctors, reading buddies, math helpers and all smiling faces are welcome! Just go to www.nthurston.k12.wa.us/vapp to register. 1st Math Test on Monday Monday will be our first math test of the year! Students have been working hard to understand concepts of multiplication, place value, rounding and capacity. To help them review and prepare, I am sending home their in-class math worksheets from the last 2 weeks. Please take some time this weekend to go over this work with your student, finishing any incomplete work and fixing any errors. The more practice they have the better  Capacity Production Today students will have the opportunity to put their acting skills on display as they try out for parts in our short capacity inspired production. Remembering the number of quarts, pints and cups it takes to equal a gallon can be difficult for students, but we’ve made learning fun and easy by rehearsing a short skit that not only reinforces these concepts, but delves into issues of bullying, being an “upstander” and friendship. Stay tuned for more information on our theatrical undertakings :D Upcoming Events 9/27 Panther Pride Assembly 10/2 Early Release 10/11 No School – in service day 10/16 Early Release 10/30 Early Release
