The Adjutant General of Mississippi State Overview The Mississippi National Guard provides trained and ready forces to accomplish mission requirements for State, Homeland Defense, and National Security and contributes to the Communities in which we live, work, and serve. Our citizen Soldiers and Airmen have served our great state with pride since 1778 and are proud to call the Magnolia State home. The Mississippi National Guard possesses a diverse workforce committed to protecting America and the State from Corinth to the Coast. Thousands within our talented force have unparalleled experience both stateside and abroad. Over the past decade-plus, our men and women have served in several combat and peacekeeping operations and during numerous state emergencies here at home. On each occasion, they have been “Always Ready and Always There” and made us all proud! Our people, units, facilities and equipment are exceptional. Our team and can-d attitude and spirit are second to none. Maj. Gen. Janson D. Boyles The Adjutant General of Mississippi Shoulder to Shoulder
