Our Progress to Date
Launched with a history-making event on the National Mall where 45,000 people came together for the “AIDS Quilt Moment” to fight addiction.
A 1-hour broadcast special, “The Concert To Face Addiction” aired 320 times on PBS Affiliates reaching 71% of US households .
We coordinated 500 meetings in Congress on a single day (Oct 5, 2015), which led to July 2016 passage of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA).
We catalyzed 400+ diverse organizations reaching more than 28 million people to amplify the national message and action agenda
Hosted two groundbreaking educational national “Caucus to Face Addiction” events at the 2016 Republican National Convention and Democratic National Conventions
We partnered with the United States Surgeon General to launch - Facing Addiction In America – the first-ever Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health on November 17, 2016
Produced a commercial-free television special, “Listen,” featuring celebrity talent and the US Surgeon General, airing simultaneously across 11 major Viacom networks
