Who am I? I was the King of Britain during the Revolutionary War

Who am I? I was a British General who surrendered at Yorktown. This surrender marked what many feel was the end of the Revolutionary War on October 18 , 1781.

Who am I? I was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. I was the second president of the United States. It has been said that I “championed the cause for independence”.

Who am I? I was a philosopher and had ideas about how governments should act. I identified three “natural” rights including Life, Liberty and Property. My ideas helped The framers to write the Declaration of Independence

Who am I? I was the commander of the Continental Army. I led troops through the harsh winter of 1777-1778 at valley Forge where many soldiers died by freezing or starving to death.

Who am I? I was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. As a Virginia native, I later went on to become President of the United States and I started a University in Charlottesville, VA.

Who am I? I was a member of the house of Burgesses. I was known to be outspoken and became famous for my speech encouraging patriotism in which I exclaimed “Give me Liberty, or give me DEATH!”

Who am I? I was a prominent member of the continental congress. I helped to frame (set-up) the Declaration of Independence I was also a scientist who is credited with many discoveries and inventions.

Who am I? I was a well known journalist. My biggest accomplishment was the publication of my book Common Sense.

Who am I? As a former slave, I was very unhappy with certain people’s beliefs in America. I decided to express my beliefs and hope for America by writing poetry. Samples

Who am I? I was a Patriot and made a daring ride through the streets of Boston to warn “The British are coming, The British are coming!”

What do we call this event? Colonists in Boston were shot after taunting British soldiers.

What do we call this event? Samuel Adams and Paul Revere led patriots in throwing tea into Boston Harbor to protest tea taxes.

What do we call this event? Delegates from all colonies except Georgia met to discuss problems with England and to promote independence.

What do we call this event? This was the site of the first armed conflict of the Revolutionary War. April 19, 1775, Colonial militia men fired the famous "shot heard 'round the world."

What do we call this event? This was the colonial victory over forces of Lord Cornwallis that marked the end of the Revolutionary War.
