Places to See & Visit! pt1 Name: Bush Gardens Location: Williamsburg, VA. Description: A theme park. Lots of rides, places too eat. And even a water park. My thoughts: I have actually been to this park in Virginia when I lived there. It’s loads of fun, although hot in the summer time it’s the perfect place to cool down and have fun. Being in the military they give you benefits which allow you to get in for a lower cost which is also very nice.
Places to See & Visit! pt2 Name: Arlington National Cemetery. Location: Arlington Virginia. Description: A massive cemetery for fallen soldiers. My thoughts: I lost my dad in December and he actually got the honor to be buried here. Not just anyone who was in the Army can be buried here. You must get the permissions and have to have connections. They have over 30 burials a day and we were very lucky to have gotten in so soon when my dad passed.
Places to See & Visit! pt3 Name: The tomb of the Unknown. Location: Arlington Virginia. Description: On March 4, 1921, Congress approved the burial of an unidentified American soldier from World War I and too this day has yet to be identified. So it is still guarded. My thoughts: My dad was actually one of the few selected for this job to guard the tomb. This tomb is guarded no matter the weather. Snowing, rain, and even extreme heat the uniforms are not modified either to make it comfortable for the guards other than a coat is provided in the winter.
Rating Bush gardens, other than the hot summers and if you choose to only ride roller coasters I suggest to visit in the early fall as it is very hot in the summer overall a lot of fun. ☼ Arlington National Cemetery, If you are interested in our history or are of a military this is a great place to go to pay the respect to those have lost their lives for our freedom it’s a beautiful place although there is lots of walking it’s a nice place to enjoy and learn. ☺ The Tomb of the Unknown, It is so cool to see the guards doing there ritual walk. They never speak to those viewing only when guards switch off and till they have a very coordinated walk. I think this is all very important and it really is a sight too see. ♥
Fun fact One of the 13 original colonies, Virginia was the first part of the country permanently settled by the English, who established Jamestown on the banks of the James River in 1607.
